My name is Marcy Martin-Macdaid.  I have grown up/lived in this beautiful Peace Country my entire life. I am the proud mom of three incredible young people.  I enjoy every opportunity to spend quality time with my family exploring, camping, chauffeuring, and cheering them on in their various sports/pastimes. In my free time, I love to craft/create and breathe new life into old things.  I began teaching in 2001.  I have taught predominantly in Grades K-6 as well as CST; with the last 10 years spent at Ste. Marie School - eight of those in Kindergarten. Teaching in a Catholic School has been an immense blessing.  Every day I get to share my faith, love of God, and dedication to serving my community with the future of our country.  It is a privilege to get to witness little people light up when they learn something new, talk about their love for Jesus, and see their joy and excitement in the little moments.  Being surrounded by this each day keeps me young, keeps my eyes opens to all the beauty that lies in the little things, and keeps me real.

Meet Mrs. Martin

Mrs. Martin has been facilitating in Pre-k for 6 years and is also the librarian and speech assistant.  Her interests are reading, being outside, watching her boys play sports, being creative and spending time with family and friends.  Mrs. Martin said that her favorite part of Pre-k is being able to enjoy learning with her students, while seeing their growth and development throughout the year.  In Pre-k a big part of learning is from one another, through play.  So much of the learning that is done in Pre-k is from rich environments and peer interaction.
